Project Overview

The Food Security Project (2022–2026) aims to enhance food, nutrition, and income security among family farmers and youth in Uganda’s Lango sub-region. It focuses on empowering communities through agroecology, participatory learning, and policy advocacy for sustainable livelihoods.

Promote Agroecology

Empowering farmers and youth to adopt sustainable agroecological practices through participatory learning and innovation.

Policy Engagement

Collaborating with local and national governments to strengthen policy frameworks that support agroecological transformation.

Gender & Inclusion

Advancing gender equality and youth participation in agriculture, leadership, and economic empowerment initiatives.

Expected Outcomes

Improved Livelihoods

Farmers and youth achieve sustainable income and food security through resilient farming practices.

Empowered Voices

Communities engage actively in policy dialogue and decision-making for rural development and climate resilience.
