The SVH Project (Strengthening Vulnerable Households) is implemented by Facilitation for Peace and Development (FAPAD) with the support of development partners to improve the livelihoods and resilience of vulnerable households in Otuke District. The project aims to enhance food security, increase household income, and promote gender equality through sustainable livelihood interventions.
To strengthen the resilience and livelihoods of vulnerable households, enabling them to sustainably meet their basic needs and actively participate in community development.
Support households with agricultural inputs, training, and climate-smart practices to improve productivity and nutrition.
Empower families with livelihood diversification, savings groups, and small business initiatives for income growth.
Promote gender equality and participation of women and youth in leadership and decision-making processes.
The SVH Project focuses on vulnerable communities in Otuke District that have been affected by conflict, poverty, and climate-related shocks. Through household-level support, group trainings, and community structures, the project strengthens families to better cope with risks and pursue sustainable livelihoods.
